On the Path
practicing the sacred art of spiritual direction

This webspace is currently under construction, much like us. :)
Thanks for your patience.

What it is:
Spiritual direction is a one-on-one conversation focused on your spiritual journey—what gives you meaning, causes you struggle, or stirs your curiosity. It is a sacred space where you can bring your whole self—doubts, questions, wounds, and wonder.
What it isn’t:
Spiritual direction isn’t therapy, counseling or coaching*.
No preaching here.
No advice-giving here.
You won't find formulas or fixes here.
*For more information on how these modalities differ and which one might be right for you, please see my FAQ question "Is spiritual direction the same as therapy, coaching, or counseling"
What it can be:
Spiritual direction is wide-open ground for honest exploration and reflection. It's a pause, a deep breath, a chance to notice where Spirit might be moving in your real, everyday life—however that looks for you.
A note on the name:
It's more than a bit misleading that it's called spiritual "direction". Despite the name, this isn't about someone pointing the way or telling you where to go. Spiritual direction is less about giving answers or marching down a set path—and more about sharing space, slowing down, and listening together for what is stirring in your spirit. You set the direction; my role is to listen, notice, and hold what unfolds in you. The "direction" comes from noticing and honoring what's most true for you—not from any map I provide.
